Wine-of-the-Month Club

Led by Sommelier and Wine Director, Chris Russo (named San Diego's "Sommelier of the Year" for six consecutive years), NINE-TEN's "Wine of the Month" Club features a new wine each month, taking you on an excursion of local and global varietals and vineyards -- each complementing our globally-inspired, locally-sourced cuisine.

These special featured wines are offered at a 50% discount on Wednesdays, and a 20% discount every Thursday through Sunday during lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.

March Wine-of-the-Month:

Kobayashi Winery, Syrah, Washington State, 2021

(regular retail price:  $180)

Winemaker Travis Allen, a San Diego native, met his wife Mario at SDSU, caught the wine bug, and decided to forgo his career as a nurse anesthetist and focus on producing unique, small-production wines from top sites in Washington state. Over the last several years the Allen's have taken the Washington wine scene by storm, producing some of the flat-out best domestic wines I have ever tasted. This Syrah is stunning, redolent of cool blue fruit, tar, spice, and ash. Unapologetically New-World while still paying homage to its Old-World roots (Travis Allen studied with some of the top names in Rhône, France). If you haven’t heard of these wines, consider yourselves warned…this is Washington’s next big thing.

Recommended Pairing:  Our NINE-TEN Pan-Roasted Cascade Creek Lamb Loin or the Grilled Prime Ribeye
