April Wine-of-the-Month:
Pierre Yves-Colin Morey, Chardonnay, Meursault AOP (village level), Burgundy, France 2022
Retail Price: $300
The 2022 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey (PYCM) Meursault is a masterclass in contemporary White Burgundy, skillfully balancing the solar intensity of a warm vintage with the producer's signature high-tension style. Sourced from high-altitude lieux-dits like Les Narvaux and Les Luchets, the wine sidesteps traditional Meursault "fat" in favor of architectural precision and mineral nerve. Still seductively textured, the nose opens with a refined "reductive" strike of wet flint, followed by acacia blossom, hazelnut, and Granny Smith apple.
Recommended Pairing: Our Pan Seared Maine Sea Scallops or Pan Roasted Halibut.
